Ironhead driver to clevis foot peg conflict.

Your peg bracket needs to be rotated 90 degrees or so clockwise, it goes in the slot cast into the primary cover. The lever (brake or shift, depending on the year) goes below the peg bracket. You can adjust the peg bracket two or three splines to position it to your liking. And you can adjust the brake cross shaft stop so that the lever does not hit the bracket. Or, if it's a shift lever, you adjust the shift linkage behind the sprocket cover so that the lever does not touch the bracket on upshifts.

Edit: I forgot you said '72, so disregard everything I said about the lever as a shift lever (that would be '75 - '76).

I wish it was that easy!
The cast peg mounts straight to frame with no adjustment.
I can just get a new mount on the left but on the right I would have to buy a new whole brake pedal assembly.
I was hoping they just made a conversion but I can’t find anything.

It is that easy. The peg bracket mounts on the splined stub on the frame. Stand it up vertical (you can adjust a few degrees) with the clamp screw at the bottom. The brake lever goes under the bracket. The brake pedal stop screw is on the right side of the cross shaft. The right side peg mount is the same. That is if you do indeed have a '72, and not a hodge podge of non stock parts.

Pegs like your black ones are what you need for those brackets. And that right side set-up is '75 - '76, not '72.
