    Spoil hub wheel spacer question

I put a new spool hub wheel on my Sportster. I cut some spacers to center the wheel but I don’t like how it looks with the stepped axle on one side. What’s the best way to get the left and right sides to match? Should I increase the ID of a portion of the spacer to slide over the stepped up axle? Or have the portion of the axle between the fork and the current spacer turned down to 3/4”?

    Thanks!

Turning a spacer to cover the axle means if you change axles for some reason you don't need to machine a second. I like that idea. It makes sense and involves no downtime since ya can ride it like it is then install your new spacer in minutes. If your axle isn't stainless (some are) the spacer will cover any future corrosion.
