unfortunately most real world "biker chicks" look less like the cheerleader types you see posing on bikes on Instagram and much more like Mutha!!

            ^^ Tis a fact ....

Whatever Happened to Easyriders Miraculous Mutha .. ?

The Motorcycle Industry owes a lot to Easyriders magazine; they literally opened the door to the world of Harley Davidson and custom Harley choppers, and the biker lifestyle making a loud and raucous cultural statement giving notice to the rest of the world that bikers were here and this is what we have to say!

Debuting in 1971, Easyriders magazine featured top-notch chopper designs and their builders in full color layouts.
In addition to the magazines full-featured layout, the magazine boasted slick one of a kind motorcycle culture color illustrations by Dave Mann, and a no holds bared help and advise column by Miraculous Mutha.

Miraculous Mutha gained rapid appeal with her raunchy biker mama views on everything from sex to dealing with everyday life.
Pinned by artist Hal Robinson, Miraculous Mutha took on topics with a biker lifestyle slant that would have made most folks shudder, 1974 issue of Easyriders magazinebut were well received by those who lived the mostly unaccepted and misunderstood culture; which at it core is based on freedom of expression, and an open attitude of many things considered less than desirable by John Q. Public!

As a teen, I read each issue of Easyriders from cover to cover, dreaming of one day owning an equally hot and totally custom Harley chopper, and while that dream took a while to realize, the biker lifestyle and culture took hold immediately and became part of my evolving viewpoint on the world around me.

What many people from the mainstream part of the world failed to understand about the biker lifestyle is just because we ride motorcycles or live up to your view on life doesn’t make us the raping and pillaging rogues depicted in those cheesy Hollywood exploitation films of the 60’s and 70’s, and this outlook was reinforced in each and every issue of Easyriders magazine until the very late 1980’s.

Easyriders Artist Dave Mann. As Harley Davidson choppers and motorcycles in general began to become widely accepted within the mainstream world, the need to exaggerate the position of biker culture became less and less important, while a focus to expose the true artistry of the modern custom Harley builder became the chief concern of Paisano publications.

As the year’s pass more and more so called mainstream people have come to enjoy the rich heritage of the Harley Davidson motorcycle and the countless presentations of the custom chopper, the freedom of expression, and the unique lifestyle of the biker culture itself.

I think that's also cause we all got older too, and fatter. I look at the age profile at today's biker events, and look back, we looked so much younger.
Drags-that's one fine eulogy for the mag.

Thats generally true, Most people I looked up to or were freaked out by in the 70s as a youngster now look ancient. The sketchy hot mamas that were in the magazines or bike runs now look pretty scary.
Seasoned leather thats soft to the touch but ridden hard like a cattle drive cowboys saddle and just as worn. Some tanorexic. Click image for larger version

ID:	1317505 Many of the guys havent seen their pecker in a couple decades except in a mirror.

Was at the grocery store Thursday and an old biker who lives up in the hills I know who he is, But not well,. I was watching him get out of the car. Shaky on his feet but refusing a walker, Still rocking the same look he probably had in 1977 or some period "In the wind" photos that are fun to look at. His ol lady was shuffling along looking like Stevie Nicks got out of the wrong side of a time machine and wrinkled like a peach pit sitting in the florida sun. He was actually laughing and snorting at all us weirdos wearing face masks. I felt a little bad, as he catches a whiff of La Rona-virus, Hes gonna be hatin' it, But where he lives figures its all a govt conspiracy.

But there is some biker events, And grey haired geezers LOVE to say young folks dont give a rip about motorcycles and no ones coming behind us. The bike scenes dead. But reality is, tons of young people out there riding and wrenching. I send videos and youtube clips to friends across the US and they all say...."Surprising amount of cute chicks" and that, is the key I think. All the old geezers in the vintage clubs I am in,,, None of their events attract young hotties. Or even cool women who ride. So the whole,, Chicken little the "Sky is falling" Predictions are self fulfilling. ABATE in many areas seems to be struggling, and many aging out.

Any of you came to Portland, Checked out ThunderPussy! Those ladies ROCKED! Chopper cult site sponsor had boots on the ground, Heres a 32 min video. *I told Tyler next time call me! Ill show them the cool spots, the best strip clubs and beer, and better film material. But I like LowBrow so 2 thumbs up they spotlighted it.
This Video is brought to you by Lowbrow Customs https://www.lowbrowcustoms.comIf you missed out on The One Show this year, dont worry we got you covered. Mik...

                            Robinson's art was hilarious.

ABATE in many areas seems to be struggling, and many aging out.
It sometimes (probably a lot more than sometimes but I lost interest in the 1990s) turned from a rights group to just another party/self-licking ice cream cone throwing charity events (good but a distraction) instead of staying involved with politics (original purpose). In some places it got internally political (different kind of politics for sure!) with clubs taking an interest and those not into that scene going elsewhere. My mentor (died April 1st aged 80, a date he'd have laughed about) was a coordinator but left long ago for those reasons.

He was actually laughing and snorting at all us weirdos wearing face masks. I felt a little bad, as he catches a whiff of La Rona-virus, Hes gonna be hatin' it, But where he lives figures its all a govt conspiracy.
A lot of those cats never got past high school if that far so they can't help it (not everyone is cut out to study history and politics any more than they are motorcycle engines), and mental decline along with physical decline is no joke. It's super easy to manipulate them because they're used to black and white narratives and conspiracy is WAY more comforting than a scary random world. (This also explains religion.) People old enough to remember polio victims with hunchbacks (and many in iron lungs) should know better about disease. Plenty are good folks but they're as curious as a turtle on ludes. If "born on a mountain, raised in a cave, bikin' and fuckin' is all that ya crave" was their life that's fun in yer twenties but not exactly a recipe for personal growth and a great way to die poor in a trailer. Self-destructive life styles (booze, obesity, not having the sense to quit smoking) killed plenty of bikers.

Women age like milk and most hotties of old hadn't a clue about sun damage or what smoking does to circulation. Leather chick above would have been much less of a skin cancer candidate if she'd discovered sunscreen.

We remember the good machines from ancient times but built quality today is MUCH more professional in general, especially the high end machines like Dragstews puts together. Tools and equipment are better, frame jigs are standard, more bikers have quality welders, and it's easier to get parts online than fucking with an indy shop or a dealer who knew they had a lock on customers and were often lazy dickheads. (How many here became mechanics after being ripped off or neglected as customers?) I miss being young because old age feels like shit, but I don't miss the past.

The economic crash will free up lots of HDs and other makes for the new generations just like previous crashes. A lot of the collectors assumed the demand would be around forever because they assumed THEY would be around forever and forgot their peers WERE the demand. Driving up prices kept the younger generation away (especially with British bikes where the few who stuck with them rescued the machines from certain death by hoarding them but also took them out of circulation). When they go back on the market it will be good for the hobby. Younger bikers form their own groups as they should. They're visible at events like the Barber Vintage Festival collecting bikes and parts. Vintage Japanese collecting is taking off nicely. People forget chopping was never really huge, it was just huge in its own world and most older attempts were half-assed and forgotten just like all the half-assed "cafe racers".

The dedicated will ride. The rest don't matter.

Still remember my first Miraculous Mother poem I read
"When Miraculous Mother was little she had a little quim and stuck her finger in... As years gone by and the fingers lost it's charm .. now to get off it takes her hand and half her fucking arm "

                              Miss those simpler times ....
