Never found the petcock I have here somewhere but it’s all good. My buddy Josh brought me some old school chopper gold! A dual outlet pingel petcock! Stoked as this is chopper cool as can be!

Went to town n grabbed a few things. The agm batterie is way smaller that the original and give a bit more CCAs.

Decided to go with a toggle switch instead of key for now. Just not enough room to fit the big switch in the little box. Roughly wired the ignition to test spark.

Cranks over and has spark. In theory fuel and it should fire. Not that I’m at all ready for that. Though it might just light another fire under my butt to get it done!

Got the petcock install and ran a pair of fuel line to the carb pairs. Need to install inline fuel filters. Think I have the wiring figured out... at least enough to run. Dumped 1/2 a gallon of fuel in to tank. Petcock an lines to carbs are leak free. The carbs on the other hand are not. Looks like a leak on the fuel inlet T on right pair. Hope i don’t have to split them to fix it, but looks to be a bad O-Ring.
Gave it a few mins to let the spilled gas dissipate. Then hit the starter switch. Fired right off! Video on my IG (@kgschopshop). Not bad for sitting outside for the last year r so! It’s much quieter than expected!
Hoping to get a bunch done on it this evening! Next step is to bang out some floorboards or use the stock kz boards. Then onto brake and shifter levers. Rear fuel tank Mount needs drilled and probably a bracket to raise the front mount to just over the backbone.
Still need to finish the seat pan and mounts for rear fender at sissy bar. Battery tray and support. Brake, tail, and head lights, plate mount. The list goes on...
