Dynatec ignition w/ 4 plug coil for 81 shovel. shop installed this when engine was rebuilt with a lot of performance upgrades. THOUGHTS.

A VOES switch will probably help it, if it does not already have one. Because of the lazy combustion chamber, an aggressive advance curve will give best results.
