The pic of the 51 on the trailer is the day I picked it up earlier this month. The bike had not ran in over 12 years. Only photo I have on my phone of it at the moment. It is currently running but has a mean intake leak, I'm waiting for some Peek seals to come in so I can fix the leak.Comment

Thanks Dave. I picked it up from a guy that had someone putting it together for him for the last decade or so. He is getting older and can't kick it so he sold it. He never ran it, it just sat after being put together about 99.9% of the way. I have some time now since I am not working so much so hopefully I can go through it once the intake seals come in and run it regularly. Your collection is sick btw. I'm liking the way the exhaust on your UL flows.Comment

My first big twin, 1954FL, imported this one from Atlanta, the guy basically ripped me off, the engine was tired and every early panhead part had been replaced with later shovel and the like iterations. Throughh lots of work and money got her running and riding pretty well. The main shaft suffered with an oil leak so bad my father designed and machined a stepped race that bolted to the primary holes with 3 seals in to act as a encasement to manage the oil. You couldn't see it, or notice it, didn't leak once after.
My 47 UL, complete with sugar bear springer and mag wheels with early star hubs welded into them. The bike was purchased from a gent in the US who rebuilt the engine. I changed all the stick on parts as the engine was like new. This one has recently movd on to pastures new and is now in Belgium. In good hands, and will be rode many miles. This picture was taken as flanders chopper bash, I'd ridden roughly 1000 miles before this photo and was feeling every one!!
My current nightmare and love. 1941EL later year with long ribs as several gents on here kindly pointed out. The engine has been fully rebuilt. I had that and the frame from a gent in the US and imported it. (Like all of my bikes) This one will be my keeper. I always wanted a knuck and here we now are. Dodge truck next. The pipes, hap jones tank and sissy bar have all been sat on a shelf since the 60's. Prior to me having this engine, it was last titled and rode in Flushing NJ in 1969! love a bit of history.
