Got out twice yesterday and once the day before. It's a rocky birdsnest at the bottom of those dams. Hahaha. Lost all but one of my bucktails and a couple sluggos. Thinking I need some heavier stuff as they had the dams running full on, TON of current. Thought about throwing some darters or needlefish but I'm guessing those stripers are on the bottom or close to it. Also don't want to lose my good plugs in there. Couple hits yesterday, but nothing yet. Saw a guy pull a couple decent hybrids.

It's like learning a new beach, gotta go out a slap the water a good few times before figuring out what works.

Raring to get out there again, trying to see if there's anywhere local open that I can re-up on bucktails and mono leader. I'm sore from swinging the 10'6" with a penn 706z, forgot how heavy that thing is. I'm thinking an 8' medium heavy casting setup would work well....I have a Abu 6500c4 sitting around already loaded with 40lb braid..

Just what I needed, another expensive hobby to get back into. hahaha

The Easy way to Fish ....

    Amazing video for fishing.
Takes me back to the time when we used to go fishing with my dad. He used to be a perfectionist with all the right tools in his kit

He'd always carry extra hooks, worms, and fixed knives to cut open a giant fish and chop it off before bringing it home.
