Default Factory 4 Speed Final Drive Pulley Nut Torque

1984 FXSB Lowrider. Buttoning up a transmission overhaul and I am running into a possible discrepancy with the service manual.

80-90 FT LBS is the torque value stated for Late 83 and up final drive pulley nut.

Then, I find this. Pic is blurry so I will post a direct link below. Which value should I follow?

80 ft lbs and red locktight
Ditch the tab washer to gain thread engagement
If sprocket has a threaded hole, install "safety" screw

I use 120ft.lb. And I keep the lock plate and use red loctite (belt and suspenders).

If you don't get it tight enough, it will come loose, and then it will leak.

    Thanks Sky and Jim.

The goal, and the reason for the teardown, is to ensure LEAK FREE!

I'm hoping to have achieved this by:

    1. The Saddlebagrail fix has been applied, new 4th gear bushing fitted (old one was SLOPPY).
    2. I removed the 4 case mounting studs, applied red loctite and re-installed
    3. JAMES Supernut
    4. New O-rings and seals throughout

Currently I am tackling the kicker bushings/seal. Mine is sloppy and was a source of leakage. Hopefully new bushings and seal will get it leak free. Shaft is OK. I don't use kicker that much with the use of a Tech Cycle starter but I would like to keep it.... a Shovel should have one!

A leak free four speed is the Holy Grail. No one has found one yet.
If it don't leak now, it will eventually.

Besides, that’s how you know you have fluids in there! Haha
