Just lowered the rear with 10.5" shocks (this came with 13").

I will be doing 6" overs up front and then I might up the rear to 11.5" to eliminate some of the rake that comes with the longer front end.

        Thanks boys!

Did some more work on the handlebar cleanup over the weekend. This included removing the oem switch housings, swapping to a single cable throttle assembly and relocating the kill switch and starter button to the rear of the headlight housing.

I feel like the forks look off or something. Rides fine, tracks fine even over bumps and whatever you’d call NYC “roads”. 41 3/8 front, 11.5” rear shocks. Click image for larger version

First of all, congratulations for your new bike buddy. The next step after buying a new bike is to go for motorcycle or motocross gear like helmets boots, gloves, goggles, etc. because safety is very important for everyone. These gear usually protect us from damage while driving or in an accident. I personally advise you to buy a helmet and gloves first, for your safety because a few weeks ago I fell down from my bike, fortunately, I am all good but I have some scratches on my hand because I don't wear gloves while driving. So, it is very important to buy these protective gear. congratulations again and ride safe.

First project. Inherited my dads 77FXE a few years ago and have been riding it the way he had it since then. Now I'm ready to do it up to my liking. Just hope he doesn't roll over in his grave. (Sorry dad

                          Looking good Bill.

What rake and extension did you end up with, it is pretty much perfect imho.

Started out as an 883 Hugger... it's been modified a bit.
