A birthday is not the SAME day, just another number. The past is gone and jacking off to it won't bring it back but your chopper can make MANY days of happy riding.
Don't be tempted to rush your work. Yer scoot is looking good!
Before upholstering ya might want to bounce butt on that seat to simulate bumps. It would be easy to insert a gel pack at where ever yer butt has a pressure point. They work well. I have one in a Le Pera FXR seat and bicycle gel pad on my exercycle. Future seats (I usually buy pans and have them redone) will get gel packs.

Some photos I forgot to post up. It's been at Power Coat for two weeks so far. They said it would be two weeks or less, but just started it yesterday. Maybe will be done Wednesday. Going to miss my camping trip in Montana but still hope to make Sturgis. I should have just rode their asses all week to get it done. I need to learn to be an asshole.

Got it all done and I've been riding it around for a few days. Just little stuff I'm tweaking getting it ready for Sturgis.
It's so fun to ride it again. Missed it so much. I'm tweaking the carb right now. Tuning it to the new air intake and going to restrict the exhaust a bit to get better fuel mileage. I'm getting 47MPG right now with open short pipes and I want to get it over 50.
Few things I don't like:
* The powder coat. It's not what I was thinking and instead of black chrome it looks to me like it's very dark brown.
* I messed up on the fork shrouds and should have added an extra inch to them. The Mullin's are thicker than stock so they make the shrouds short.
* I didn't make the bars long enough, so I'm reaching pretty far when I ride. Leaning forward. I would have liked to be leaning back against my baggage.
* The upholstery guy changed all my seat foam out and now the seat looks huge. Like it's bigger than the tank. Added another two inches to it. I'm going to drill out the rivets and cut it down.
Almost done:
Here is a video from my first fill up:

Few more photos from my road trip. Left Carson City Nevada and on my way to Key West.
So far only lost my headlight, got a small oil leak from my drain hose, and my kickstand stopper broke off. So I'm in Omaha, NE looking for somewhere to do some repairs. I need to true my front wheel some more also.
Going to hit up that bike night on Thursday Night and see what I can dig up.
