Outer primary case 06 1200xlc

I’m switching out my primary case because the clutch cable slot was stripped out, the new case I had purchased has matching part numbers but the hole for the shift peg is some how smaller on the new case.. wth

the one you had was probably stripped & or enlarged, try a factory stock cable & see if it fits, if not drill & tap to required size or thread, I know some were straight holes & some were threaded but I cannot remember what the xlc used....

It's easier to remove metal than add it. Is the cover factory or aftermarket?

Post pics of both as someone may own a match to it.
