Another change and I believe another mistake. As you can see I couldn’t turn onto a wide street with this clearance.. Any suggestions as to what could be done here to run these trees and risers without ditching the tank that I had painted a few months back. Thanks for the helpful responses

Just move the tank back; may need to get creative with the back mount.

Of what I have seen of his tank I think he will have to move the tank to a shelf and look at it there............. I don't think it will work on his bike as it is set up now............Comment

Lopoff that front seat mount, slide tank back, done. Reconfigure front seat mount...part of the bitch making changes to a chrome frame. If buildin' old school choppers was easy, anyone could do it... ain't nobody said it's gonna be easy...Comment

This is the reason you build up a project completely before you do ANY PAINT work .........
I see no way to run that tank without doing major work........Comment

By the way thanks for the pics........... That will be a beautiful bike when it's done but that tank ain't going to work with that riser setup..........
I just thought of something, What about something like my setup............... That might get you away from the tank.............Comment

Instead of offset risers, how about a stepped riser mount...I can see it, so will try to describe it simply; a flat plate that bolts to the top of the back leg of the springer on each side where the riser mount now, the steel plate is raised in the middle, between the rear springer legs, about 1" up, then you can mount your risers to that, closer to the center to miss the tank...may need taller risers, and the mounting bolts for the risers are through from the bottom of the plate and have clearance between the bottom of the plate and the top of the top tree...hope that kinda makes sense. If buildin' old school choppers was easy, anyone could do it... ain't nobody said it's gonna be easy...Comment
