Nailed down some nice parts for this motor build ....

Damn that is a lot of Cubes!

So my Ultra was "only" 96ci and in stop and go traffic the damn thing was so hot I would have to pull over and get off it and that was a "modern" design.

How hot does a Panhead get when you go that big?

Lots of fin area on the heads and jugs ...
Much more than what Oem has ...

But I have been thinking about doing cooling jets on this build ...
Going to have a chat with Ron Axtell before all that work goes down ...

Done started awhile back with chasing down these choice parts to build this Monster Motor...

Here's what went down:

Seen on Craigslist a Fella selling NOS, never been run, Axtell Cylinders, J&E pistons with STD heads also NOS..
Got in contact with the jent, asked if he was willing to do some horse trading..
The deal we made was for a new Wish-Bone Edlund frame and a grand of cash.... Done Deal

The cases was a eBay deal, bought used..
Also the DPD oil pump came from the bay... I had to piece it together, all the parts wasn't there ..

Got many more components yet to source ...
Just today put in a order for a L-61 Leineweber cam... That outta pull hard ....
Need rod's, flywheels, all the shafts, cam cover, all cam chest gears, breather gear included ...
Think a set of BMO's lifters & blocks will be on the want list ....

Nailing all these parts down will take some time, so don't y'all be getting in any hurry to see this engine go together, it ain't going to happen fast ....

Old Taiwan Teddy going to love me with the order I'm fixing to place ....

The two cams pictured are the Leineweber L-61 and an S&S 516. If you look, the L61 makes the 516 look like a shrimp! the 516 is a moderate stroker cam, not a maniac like this one!

Super beefy after/market cases ... Has a trap door in the bottom of the case ...
Look at how thick the casting is ..





The Cail. based company was sold to a sleeve company in Ohio then sold again ... But only the Cail. shop made the Gen. Cases ...
The new owners of Delkron are not making the Gen. Cases, only the alternator cases are still in production ...
