Is that because you moved it for the exhaust ?
The unmolested OEM one I measured was 3&1/2 " from the back of the axle plate to the rear of the tool box bracket.
Yep, That would be my guess,
I wanted to at least tell you the exhaust could make a difference if it isn't stock........
