Default Need wishbone frame tool box mount measurement

Anyone know the measurement from the rear axle plate to the rear edge of the tool box mount on a stock Harley Wishbone Frame ? Getting a frame repaired and putting the mount back on. Measurement taken from O.E.M frame only please.

Unknown. Was a chopper frame , not worried about a restoration . Had the rectangular tool box mount lying around so might as well throw it on there. That's just a random picture to show people which mount I'm using . But it is a real wishbone frame.

That mount you have is made for the 55 to 57 year models ...

I have a new Edlund frame in the shop I could pull the speck from if you need me to do that .. ??

I'd be willing to bet that his frame would be exact to what the OEM frames would have been.............. Everything else is............

Well, according to Palmer I could still pull it off on a wishbone frame !
That being said. I never heard of Edlund before until I looked them up. Nice to have another choice besides v-twin crapola.
I'm sure that measurement will suffice but remember, "a picture is worth a thousand words" so if you can take a picture of the measurement being taken that would surely take out any error factor.

Unknown . Just an extra frame I had laying around for the last 7&1/2 years.
Gonna attach a bunch of leftover parts to it and make a Roller to sell or keep. No motor or tranny set for it.

Is that because you moved it for the exhaust ?
The unmolested OEM one I measured was 3&1/2 " from the back of the axle plate to the rear of the tool box bracket.

Yep, That would be my guess,

I wanted to at least tell you the exhaust could make a difference if it isn't stock........

    Best on luck.......
