After 2 days of nothing making any sense I figured that the matched set of valve lifts had one exhaust lift that that was .090 shorter than the other. Damn I hate e-bay sellers! Got that replaced with one out of my bucket of miss matched lift shafts. then a .100" offset pin retarding the rear cam made everything come out within a half degree.

Welp the Buell oil pump from Fleebay is going to move way too much oil. So I've changed to a early evo Sportster oil pump With a portion of the feed gear rotor ground off and replaced with a spacer. It will be driven off the rear cam. Just starting to design the adapter.

Started slotting the drive gear on the sporty pump. Strangest setup I've ever made. An end mill would polish it a little This was actually pretty quick. I started grinding the teeth off and something broke in the lathe power feed so I'm headed in the lathe repaiir direction next.
Presto a .170" X .330" slot.

Got the drive tabs ground onto the cams and the cams in place hopefully for a while. As far as I can on the adapter until I can until the timer is built and I just started making the shaft. If I was going to do anything with the bike other than race at Bonneville I would either shorten the pump or drive it with a worm gear and hang it to the bottom like the Sporty it came off of.
