I am just looking for a little more ground clearance to have a greater lean angle. On the left side I scrape the jiffy stand and the right side I scrape the header to my exhaust. I know its not gonna handle like a sport bike but jacking it up a little but its hard to keep the cornering with some of the modern touring bikes in my club.
I also would want to increase the front forks to 2" over in addition if I go that route. But I don't want to just chase diminishing returns too far. My local parts supplier keeps telling me to buy an FXR and I may in fact get a newer bike for riding, but I would love to just dial in the shovel just a little bit.
Would still love to hear if anyone has tried something like this before on a shovel.
