Dunno 'bout that. I'll take a barn find covered in birdshit over a hurricane find that's been sitting in saltwater, any day.

EDIT: I guess I'm thinking about flood bikes.

What's the sad thing is that it didn't ruin the wheels instead of the motor on the black bike..........

Both those bikes sit under saltwater for weeks ...
I think the inside will be as bad as the outside looks....

The moral is very simple. STORM SURGE ALWAYS WINS. Don't live in range. One can build a turtleback to put their home on in flood country but storm surge is unstoppable except by geography and what was hit once will be hit again.

Salt water got into every orifice in the frames and forks. All subsequent moisture will form electrolyte unless the cavities are flushed and treated. (A pneumatic spray gun with a needle tip is cheap, and for really tiny holes a football inflator tip clamped in some hose might be the ticket.)

I wisely went USAF instead of Navy but I do read their pubs. Lots of cleaning, water displacing compound and corrosion treatment info lives here:

Please post lots of corrosion porn. I fap to destruction! I expect nearly everything on these is scrap.
