    Blast from the Past ...

Got a e-mail from a old high school buddy from my home town today ....

    It said this:
"I picked up a basket case `65 BSA M-65 with a bunch of paperwork. I found this and another manual among the receipts.
    Any memories?"

My Old BSA is still in Glasgow Ky after 52 years ... Yup been that long ago since I had that bike ...

    It was called "Lighting Rocket"

And back in the mid 60's it was a Rocket...Especially being a Teenager ...
Lots of fond memories riding that bike .. !!

Opening that email was opening a time capsule for me ..

                Oh Yeah ...

Would love to have a few scoots back in the stable that I once had...

Really miss the XR-1000 the most ... That scoot would be first on the list, then the 55 KHK and the 39 EL would rate high too, some Honda's come to mind too (CB 750-A and a CL-77 305 saw many happy miles) ...

Shoot, even my paper route scooter (1952 Whizzer Pacemaker, the start of the two-wheeled madness .. ) would be super nice to have back ...

But, at the moment I'm down to two keepers that I'm always screwing around with in order to keep em on the road..
Those two do a dang good job of keeping me "Bike Poor" !! ..

The 52 Pan/Shovel will be seeing some motor work here very shorty ...
Been gathering up parts in order to up the cubes a bit more and change out the carb to a more up to date model....
(Going from 89 cubes to 92)

Might be changing her name ...
