A couple of recommendations at the end of this Street Chopper article:
Look Ma, No Brakes! | Old-School Spool Wheel Build
Tech
"...Gary at Wheel Works in Garden Grove, California. Gary's been in the biz for over 30 years and seen it all when it comes to chopper rolling stock. So when we approached him about lacing up a spool wheel for us we took this into consideration and picked one up from Jr's Cycle Products that's machined in America from a solid chunk of aircraft-grade aluminum and has extra-thick spoke flanges so they'll stand up to lots of use. The hubs are available in a single, double, and triple rib styles with 5/8- or 3/4-inch bearings, and in 36- or 40-hole versions..."
