you have a nice strat on a frame. don't go welding stuff like that on there. i'm sure its a nice piece just not meant for that frame. check out wascoframe.com

I'm not sure if that gets welded to the frame. Looks like it's there to weld a post to.

Waiting on the heads to come back from powder coating, I spent some time this weekend on other things. The rear wheel cleaned up nicely. I went through the hub on it, cleaned, greased and re-assembled.



The front wheel may be a lost cause. It's quite rusted.

If it were me I would cut the spokes and get new ones and a new rim................ And use the hub you have if the bearings look nice...........

Stainless spokes.
Glass bead the spokes and nipples if you want to make them look cadmium plated.

I haven't gone through the front hub yet, but will probably do that this coming weekend. Who is your go-to resource for rims and spokes? I haven't laced a rim since I was a teenager chopping up bicycles....
