(Shortened) I am going to call that rear fender a "bikini" rear fender.
Kind of like a guard on a grinding machine. Tough look!

[QUOTE=xfiend;398203]Day off today, I'm getting ready to go to Orlando with the wife to run the "monster dash 5k". apparently monsters chase you around for three miles. Sounds like a blast. Anyway, I used the after noon to clearcoat. I've read great things about the Spraymax 2k clear coat, so I thought I would give it a shot. Every ones says it stands up to gasoline, chemicals and UV nearly as well as clear coat from a gun, plus the local paint supply places stocks it. 23.00 for the can including tax.

                    Shortened.

Please be careful with that paint. At least one person or more has died spraying that paint without fresh air and a mask. The warnings are all over that can.

I built this bike but it was sold long ago. I converted a Kawasaki 1500 to chain drive from drive shaft.
Re routed the oil from engine to final drive. Many changes to final drive.

Love this thread, glad I found this forum. I have been on the VN750 forum for a while, recognize a couple screen names like OleDirtyDoc, been contemplating modifying mine ever since I've had it. Love the look of the hard tail, but the roads around here are so bad I'd be laid up in the hospital in traction if I did. Definitely want to change my seat back up and either cut the back part of the frame off or make a rack to bolt on it.

Here is how it is now:

This is when I had the seat chopped down:

** Don't know why that first picture keeps posting sideways, it's straight on Flickr...

I think this is my favorite Vulcan on the entire thread...
