Machinery's Handbook 27th edition which is fine since core information changes very little as far as what concerns bikers. .edu domain so not an evil website.

Every mechanic should have one and nearly every machinist does, If you use it a lot the hardcover is very fast to use. These are so historically popular than many machinist's tool boxes have a matching drawer!

Conversion of 3-Brush Generator to 2-Brush Generator for Greater Output
Convert the 3-brush generator to a 2-brush generator; the 32E was first used in the HD V-twins in 1932.
Converting the 3-brush to 2 brush generator starts to charge earlier, gets up to maximum output faster, output doesn't drop off as speed increases, generator output is then always matched to the demand, can run a sealed battery.
See rebuild here using field coils from a '58 - '64 Panhead, along with a copy of the April 6, 1960 Harley Service Bulletin No. 418; Conversion of 3-Brush Generator to 2-Brush Generator for Greater Output:

Material Properties Database
MakeItFrom.com is a curated database of engineering material properties that emphasizes ease of comparison. It is not a datasheet dump: every listed material is an internationally recognized generic material. The data is sourced from published standards, academic literature, and supplier documentation.
To find information on a particular material, browse from the list below, or search from the menu. Aside from searching by material name, you can also search by property values. Once on a material's page, you can search for a second material for a side-by-side comparison.

Fake Bearings and Bearing Identification
Until talking to our Friends at ERIKS and TIMKEN in 2017, we had no idea just how widespread and serious the problem of counterfeit/fake bearings has actually become.
Most of us were probably aware that cheap bearings are available on the Internet and that, basically, you get what you pay for.
However, what we were not aware of was the extent to which branded counterfeit bearings are being sold – as the real thing!
The counterfeiters have cleverly copied not only the bearings themselves, but also the branded packaging that they are sold in!
So it becomes very difficult for Joe public to tell the difference and most people are always looking for a bargain and cheaper prices...
