    Default GS1000 cafe tank

    Hi all, does anyone know a aftermarket cafe tank that will fit a GS1000N, iíve been searching forever and canít find anything that will fit this frame . Thanks for your help

    Great bike with a tough engine but it's easy to see why there were no tanks offered because the market is so small and it's not a sportbike.

    Maybe someone on the https://thegsresources.com/ forum found one that fits without too much work, but if not you might find a steel tank you like better then modify the tunnel or mounts.

    If ya cut the bottom out of the GS tank you can weld what ever on top. I'v got a slightly eccentric friend that put a BMW toaster tank on a Moto Guzzi bottom for his 850 Lemans. Well maybe a lot more than slightly eccentric.

    I think the the early CX500 has a pretty tank with cafe lines... it took some work and I had to cut the front protusions for fork leg clearance but got it mounted to one to one of my road race XS650s (Yamahammer Mk3).

    (not my tank, just an example off of the 'net)
