Took off my sissy bar and foot pegs to try out that powdercoat chrome, bought some long ass fishtails that I ended up shortening 10". Seat is out getting reshaped and recovered to be less of a blocky brick.

I might have missed it, but where are you going for chrome? Seems like good chrome shops are harder and harder to find. Can't wait to see your joint back together man. I love that new color. The black/blue with white letter tires is dope too tho. You got the eye homie. Love it all.

                          Looks great man!

Quick question for you re the chain and fittings you're using for the clutch, can you DM me details of gauge chain and the fitting hardware you use? I've never ran a chain before, and my knuck is getting one! thanks

In my experience running a chain, there really isnt a great way to hook it on to the clutch arm that looks good and inspired confidence in me that it would last. I had run one of the split links with the threaded bit to close it off, whatever thats called. Just seemed janky.

Best thing to do, even though I'm running linkage I made and heim joints to the clutch lever and pedal, is cut the end of the clutch lever off and then drill and tap the end for a 5/16" bolt. That way you could thread in a screw eye to connect the chain to, or really use any hardware that you can put a bolt thru. Mcmaster carr or any industrial hardware place will have tons of chains and connectors. Even if you go back to linkage you can make something a lot nicer than stock. They have a lot of stuff in stainless too, which is what I used. A quick polish and it's close enough to chrome for me.

Thanks man! sounds like a solid idea to get it secure. I tried briefly on my panhead but the chain I used stretched!! even though it was fairly heavy duty!

Finally making some progress on the flame bike, new ratchet top in and digging all the black bits. Still waiting for the chrome for the purple bike.
