I know what an original seat is, but does he have the backing plate for the breather???? WTH is a head light and left side cover??????????
Get him to buy a manual so he will know what things are called........
Hope you can get pics of the bike.....
By the way hope he has a lot of money saved up?????Last edited by Tattooo; 06-27-2019 at 6:12 AM.

I have an OEM seat pan, but its not upholstered. I also have a a J Slot air cleaner cover but I don't know off hand if they were still used in 48. Don't know what a left side cover is, if it's a primary cover I may have one of those as well.

I don't know what year it is, I just know its an oem seat pan, I figured he could just upholster it and make it somewhat correct but looking at the pics of the bike I would just leave the deluxe seat thats on it now.

I believe the air cleaner cover for that bike should be stainless steel, not chrome. It will have an instruction tag riveted to the top near the edge. It will have the bar & shield logo stamped in the center, I think.

Because the seat is not from an 1948,something about the inside 1 year only on 48 and sometimes 49 was the yellow star or something on the inside. Kicker correct it looks like plastic and correct
