So I ordered some stainless steel head studs and some 12 point nuts for the rocker boxes. I'm thinking about possibly getting the chrome on the cam cover and the rocker boxes powdercoated black, how do y'all think that would look?

Let's mock up the motor, sit back and eye-ball it for a wee bit ....

Sounds good, I wouldn't mind having them chromed but you don't see to many shovels with blacked out rockers. I hate polished aluminum, to much maintenance. lol

You can clear powder coat over the polish...

You recall that motor case next to the chair you was sitting in...??
That motor case has been powder coated clear ....

Got a replacement chrome cam cover on that order, the one you have looks like a hammer was used on it...

Not bad, yeah I saw where someone had tried to give it a calibrated tap for some reason... I need to see if a mod can change the title to this thread too, lol.

Looks great! I got my oil filter adapter in today too. Looks like I have some polishing to do on the billet oil pump to match it! lol

�� That might explain the different head gaskets, the front had the S&S copper gasket and the rear was a blue gasket of some kind?

The entire bike was a hack job apparently lol.

In order to keep them looking like that I suggest sealing the raw alum with powder-coat ...
