Should cost about what all those cans cost to powdercoat. Being paranoid I always do my own masking. RTV works great for threaded holes while allthread and washers (with RTV) seal necks from sand blasting and powder coating. The tape's plentiful online.Comment

Fuck expecting anybody from doing the proper prep work before you hand something off, especially for paint or powdercoat . Prep it how you like prior and tell them.not to touch a thing you did under ANY circumstances unless consulting you prior. Also make sure TWO people that work at the shop listen to you. If only one person is doing the work give it to them in written form also.
The BULLSHIT stories you hear otherwise and the unnecessary work you will have to perform on your own after the fact that you were supposedly paying a "competent person " will remind you how STUPID you were to not take this advice in advance .
NEVER pay more than 1/5 of the price up front .
They don't like it .FUCK
EM'. Have a backup plan BEFORE going in.
I don't give a shit how highly someone comes recommended.Last edited by 47str8leg; 02-21-2020, 6:36 PM.Comment

Waiting for some pieces to come back from chrome I had the sissy bar redone after tabs were welded onto it and the velocity stack and bagel mounting hardware for the carburetor are getting chromed as well. This tank swap is really starting to add upComment
