Your symptoms are that of a worn throttle shaft and shaft bores. The carb has no bushings from new, but can be bored for bushings supplied by S&S (same as for a Super B, if I'm not mistaken). Shaft replacement is necessary when bushing the carb body, because the shaft will be worn out too.

Easy diagnosis: grab the throttle cable lever, open the throttle, and then see if you can move the shaft in its bore (usually horizontal movement, same direction the cable pulls it). Any noticeable movement, it's worn out.

I have it disassembled on the bench now and all of the gas vapors are evaporating so I can ship it without risk of you know bad things

By the way retard all my cork gaskets are soaked in oil for 1 hour before using.

I used valve lapping compound in the oil to break her in....
