Speedo relocation fitnent issue, anyone dealt with this?

Trying to figure out how this is supposed to work, the Speedo housing wont fit in the relocation kit, the Speedo itself has no backing to tighten to, and I’m all out of ideas... anyone? Cheers...

Ps it’s my wife’s bike and yes she knows she doesn’t need it but is convinced it’s imporrant so.... here I am...

1989 883 Xlh sportster

Kit was bought off of amazon, was advertised (and reviewed) to fit that model.
I’ve sent an email to the seller asking for install instructions, haven’t heard anything yet, figured maybe I just wasn’t seeing something and posted a quick question here.

Looks like the new bracket is for an electronic speedo.
And you've got a mechanical one (cable)
They sent you the wrong part, and/or their fitment chart is wrong
