Choppers with stock split tanks?? Let's see them please....

So I have been going back and forth on whether or not to use my OEM knucklehead tanks on my knucklehead bobber project. Currently I was going to go with a Wassel like tank but I think I want to go with something that holds more gas. I have a really nice set of 47 tanks. Anyone have a pic of some chopped/bobbed pans, knuckles, shovels, or whatever with 3.5 gallon split tanks? Trying to get some ideas and see if it can look good. Using these tanks would also speed up my project since they would just bolt on.

The bike is basically just a stripped down 47EL with a 21 front wheel and 16 rear. Nothing fancy just minimal.
    thanks

How long of a chopper?? 4 over 10, 20 over???? What front end wide narrow????? It makes all the difference in the world... It would make a huge difference on the look..... The longer you get the sillier split tanks will look....

Its not really a chopper, more a bobber or just a stripped down whatever. I guess I use the term chopper loosely and incorrectly. Basically a stock 47 frame with a 21 inch front wheel, some simple 10 inch bars and a spring seat, etc. I don't have pics of the current state the bike is in but I can post some later.

I love em. They ain’t right every bike. Slowly putting together and evo chop with shovel 3.5s. Hard to get a good lookin tank over 2 gallons.

Ok then don't call it a chopper..... You will be just fine with split tank....... It's a very common build..... Pics are everywhere....

This is the way my bike looked when I bought it. It had been built back in '69 as a show bike. By the time I got her she was very, very tired.

Wide front ends and 130-150 tire with a full skirt fender (bobbed or not) look proportionate with split tanks.
Keep the seat wider as well. 9.5-11"
Them little bicycle seats belong on narrow bikes

I still don't like the term "bobber"
              it's like saying "soda pop"...

"Cut down" "bare bones" "stripped" make more sense to me.

I put the tanks on to see what it would look like. I like it. Not exactly what I was going for but looks good enough for me and I will be able to get an extra 60 or so miles out of a tank full.
