Hey guys so I got an 05 vstar off a marine buddy of mine before he deployed and I wanna chop/bob it out. For anyone who’s removed a tank on one of these before you know about the big ass rubber intake that sticks out past the frame and gets in the way of any other tank. I saw a couple guys just jam pod filters onto the carb which are much lower and was wondering if anyone else had any experience with tank swaps on a vstar? This is my first build (and bike) so I’m pretty green and would gladly take some advice from more experienced builders. I’m a welder by trade and have access to pretty much all metal fab equipment besides a torch.
