    Broke, Lovesick, & Driftin'

Hey guys. Been awhile since I've been on here. But I figured I'd share the build of my daily driver.
    It's a '96 dual carb vlx.

When I brought it home. I had planned to just do a quick weekend chop to make it look better and ride it ratty and just enjoy it.

I pretty much immediately chopped into it. Because I can't leave anything alone.

Lowered it, stripped some paint, built a seat, and some bars.

Built a set of boot burners, and redid a new set of bars.

Then I took the front fender cut it in half and widened it for the rear.

From this point, I lost a good chunk of pictures due to deleting Instagram. But I made a p-pad and a sissy bar because my mother wanted me to take her with to a local bike night. I rode it like that for the rest of the season.

Then winter came. I traded a friend of mine a chain conversation for his Evo sporty (take off parts I'd been kicking around from past projects) for his stock tank.

I cut the tunnel out of my stock tank, and grafted it into the sporty tank. So it mounts like and looks like a factory piece. This is when it spiraled way out of control.

In a drunken stupor, I decided that with the tank looking so good, the rest of it should too.
So I tore it down to the frame and proceeded to cut tabs, and mold all the welded joints. Then it got a silver metal flake base and airbrushing.

      This was the end result

Then I started building the new sissy bar, handle bars, etc.

I got it mostly put back together and rolled it off the lift.

I didn't quite like how the bars came out, so I shortened, and narrowed them.

Now spring is here, and I just have to paint the tins and some other small things.

Aaaand, I get popped on a DUI.

Now I'm stuck at home with no wheels walking the 5 miles back and forth to work.

Scouring Craigslist, I find this guy in town. So I pick it up on my walk home from work.

Because I can't leave anything alone, and because I'm bored as fuck, holed up in my apartment, this happened.

At this point my lawyer got my license reinstated while my case was still pending. So I can get back to my workshop again.

I ordered the last of the odds and ends parts while I home ridden.

So, with this legal battle pending and, in all likelihood, a year of revocation coming, I figured it's as good a time as any to dig even deeper into the project. So...

                    Hand engraving.

That pretty much brings me up to date. My revocation turned out to be only 90 days. And I haven't been able to get to the shop much since it got pulled. But I just bought a place with a garage. So hopefully I can get it all done without losing too much of the upcoming season.

You're engraving is very creative! But please stay off of the alcohol before you're life is ruined!
Lovesick? Is that what is causing all of this turmoil? Start treating yourself good. Nice meals etc.,.

Well, you dont really need the license while building anyway, might keep you focused enough to finish it as well! Looking mighty good, takes talent to make hondas look that cool.

Thanks. That's why I started the engraving. They told me that I was going to revoked for a year. Do I was expecting to miss the 2019 riding season.

Mine was revoked a year(almost ran the fucking cop over, he was nice enough despite that), and i actually didnt ride for that whole summer. Worst summer ever, completely pointless as well since i still had to take the car to work
