JD ready to sell. Then went for 1/2 what I paid.

That's tough, I finished a $1.5 million dollar home about three weeks after the market went into free fall. It took almost 6 months to sell it and by my accounts calculations in effect I paid close to $300,000 for the new owners to buy it! It took most of my retirement money to bring it to an end and it could have been much worse.

BUT, I paid all my subs, my suppliers, and was able to walk away with a clear conscience. Recently several of the realtors I worked with have called to see if I want to get back in the game, but as I explained to them I am too close to retirement to risk anymore of my money. Funny thing is none of them want to put up the stake to get me going, lol.
