I’m going to attempt to build a RE twin 700 out of a pile of old shit parts I have piled up and from the used parts bin.. I build resto engines all day so this is mostly for my own strange enjoyment. The only new parts will be the rod bearing and the piston rings everything else will be cleaned up used junk

Looks like you sure got a pile of RE parts for your 700 build. What year are the cases?
I read the 700's were 692cc machines, made from '53 to '62, using 350 Bullet model pistons and having a 90mm stroke, making the overhead valve twin capable of 100 mph (160 km/h), which was launched as the Meteor...the Super Meteor in 1956 sported a brand new frame...a strengthened crank and improved clutch.
The 1958 anti-lock braking experiment I found really interesting: "in 1958, a Royal Enfield Super Meteor was used by the Transport Research Laboratory to test the Maxaret anti-lock brake on motorcycles...The experiments demonstrated that anti-lock brakes could be of great value on motorcycles...Royal Enfield's Technical Director at the time, Tony Wilson-Jones, saw little future in the system and it was not put into production by the company."
Here is a completely different version of a RE 700 - a V-Twin!
"This mean looking 700cc Royal Enfield V-Twin has been constructed using two 350cc top ends."

Looking forward to your build. If buildin' old school choppers was easy, anyone could do it... ain't nobody said it's gonna be easy...Comment

Thanks man RE has a really interesting history and theres some crazy shit I feel like I learn something new about them constantly... the cases I’m using are from a 54 55 somewhere in there haha engine years are hard to identify unless you register with the owners club or something I’m going to attempt to run open primary just to make this even more difficult for myself but we will see
I have a 21” front wheel from a woodsman and a 16” rear from a RE Indian chefComment

..."the cases I’m using are from a 54 55 somewhere in there haha engine years are hard to identify unless you register with the owners club or something..."
Royal Enfield / Indian Twins Model Identification charts
"That work is 6 pages of data apparently copied from Enfield's engine factory ... for determining year and model of Enfield twins from the engine serial number."
700cc Twins; 1952-1955
700cc Super Meteor; 1955-1961
700cc Trail Blazer; 1956-1958
700cc Apache; 1957-1959
700cc Constellation; 1958-1964
While I was looking for engine VIN, I found parts books, including '54 & '55 - online pdf, which may be of interest:
