Just would like to know. What is the difference between a Bobber and a Brat style bike?

Brat style bike, from what ive seen, are functional and performance based. the Japanese seem to have come up with this style. actually id say Go Takamine of http://www.bratstyle.com/custombike/ created it

bobber refers to a short (low to the ground bike). ussually short front end, less functional as far as ground cleareance goes. 1950s style, bobbed fenders, tanks etc.

                    Guessin' you saw this:

2012 Thread: 1978 XS650 Custom Build, The Dirty Dizon
Another XS650 sacrificed to the chopper Gods! Muahahhaha! All joking aside, this thread is to document my first contracted motorcycle build for a local chap here in San Jose, CA. He had found my build (http://www.chopcult.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14786) over at xs650.com and asked me if I could help him out. After a few

a few details here including a cleaned up neck, stator cover cut, and Rebel shocks:

Describe Your XS650: Here is my latest project. At first I was going to build another xs650 bobber out of it adding a hardtail to it. Well I found out the 72 frame is a little different than the 76 I built. So I messed around with the frame and came up with this set up for the moment. Still debating the hardtail and springer front end.

                    any plans for exhaust?
If buildin' old school choppers was easy, anyone could do it... ain't nobody said it's gonna be easy...
