Maybe you can help out. I had a crazy idea last night to make an internal throttle. What's the chance you have a link or reference for a set of plans? Lol

Here is a How To: Tech thread by spidr from 2014 to make one:
        Thread: Internal throttle
"....this cost me about $10. Made everything else, may as well make this too."

There are so many ways to do this, but this is mine. Someone asked about a how to. so I'm gonna do my best here. Starting with the inner piece. This started as a piece of 7/8" solid rod. It is a nice fit into the 1" .090 wall handle bar tubing. I turned the first 4" down to .750" I didnt want it to be
If buildin' old school choppers was easy, anyone could do it... ain't nobody said it's gonna be easy...

But a chopper has a lot of rake. Rats,Bobbers, and Brats do not.

One of the level 3 machining students banded these out for me this week. Replacing mine I previously installed, and the other set, I may use for lower fender mounts. Or my next build (xs760 with david bird hardtail)

                        Today was productive.

-Added the other mount on the swing arm (on the right.) Nothing fancy, just wanted it to match the mount on the left (chain guard mounting hole.)

-Cut out the gussets. The plan is cut out some slick ones on the plasma c&c, and weld in.

Back to polishing the reader hub and rim!

Craigslist find for 500 bucks. It was a stock 79 frame with an 81 motor. My original plan was to have the frame hardtailed and go from there. I learned how quickly plans change. Now is where my bike really got started. Ran in to a guy from my area that I kinda knew but

No links - you're a big boy and can use a search function... but will throw ya' a couple ideas to search for. 1970's Honda Z50's & CT70's used an internal throttle, as did old H-D bikes.

Harley's used 1" bars, but I suspect the Hondas used 7/8".

Thanks, I ran across that on this site as well. And a few great ideas off Instagram. Shouldn't have any issues once I get the shop time!
