I am of the opinion that jesse james built some beautiful bikes. I would go so far as to say that he is the top fabricator out there. Having said that i am 99.9% sure that bike is NOT a jesse james build.Comment

What is the VIN and what does the title say?
Looks Big Dog to me. http://www.bigdogbiker.com/ could ID it precisely or tell you if it's not one.
Re: the engine, contact S&S with the engine (not motorcycle) serial number IF the engine cases are marked S&S. Some clone builders used S&S parts including cases but didn't buy the engine complete from S&S. That way you will have a better idea of what you have and (if it's an S&S) a source for correct spares.Comment
