Today I finished up the rear brake. My tax return allowed me to buy the caliper.
It is a Ultima 4 piston caliper.

The brake reaction arm is from a Yamaha Virago.
I did not have room for the kind with fannir rod ends.
After I posted this photo I went back and shortened the brake stay by 3 inches,
I did not like the angle is was pulling.
Nice! You and the guys are right-it looks better now you've shortened it! I don't reckon the type with rod ends are necessary when the arm is under tension rather than compression.

The fender got mounted, the clear coat dried.

SPECIAL NOTE: A paint expert said to use 3M #39007 "Hand Glaze"
on the clear coat. Otherwise the clear coat won't buff out. He was absolutely correct!

The gas tank has a white design on it also.
I cannot mount the tank until the coils are in place and wiring finished.

I could not build the custom motorcycles that I have built without the aftermarket suppliers that I have
worked with for over 10 years. Thanks!

... but no thanks for aftermarket suppliers whose stuff ALMOST fits but needs some fab work.

                      Coming along nicely there Luky.

You know it's amazing that aftermarket suppliers can even stay in business with poor fitting and crappy castings parts...... I hate aftermarket parts..... But I will say there are a few that make good parts like the frames that Jesse sells.... But that's very rare.........

There are bad apples in every barrel!

                          Check this out on GOOGLE.

                          1"=mm is 25.4mm

But if you look it up the other way it is:

                          25mm (1"bars) =.98---????huh?

The Chinese manufacturers say a product will fit 1 inch handlebars. NO WAY!!!

The sellers on Ebay will lie to you and say, "yes the product will fit your 1" bars.

Uh huh....Click image for larger version

My controls are on, and after the handlebars are on I may need to make adjustments to the foot controls.
I hope they will be ok.
I want my foot rests to be as comfortable as a Yamaha V star.

Move down and to the rear. 10" above the ground now.

Also 10" above the ground. Both sides folding pegs just in case.
