We lived in Northern California but just could not afford it.
I got the accelerator pump problem solved. It was just a missing O ring between float bowl and carb.
I was lucky ,I got the O ring at ACE hardware for 25cents ! keep that in mind people.

I also put on new exhaust that I got for my birthday.
Vance & Hines short shots. Heat shields the full length and baffles came with them.
The have a nice low rumble- perfect!

I was having trouble with a stuck clutch so I bought new clutch plates and now the clutch works normally.
Also bought a Barnett lifter plate with coil springs. Works smooth.

Glad you got it sorted out but surprised you didn't try soaking the plates overnight in kerosene and then oil.
Did you give it a proper test ride yet????? (borrowed extra question marks from Tattoo) Ya know... twist it through all the gears????

Once I got the new clutch plates installed the bike would go into gear and roll around but when I put it in gear it would just die. Engine quits.

    I thought about it.
The motorcycle is fixed as of 10 minutes ago
    !

The two ignition wires one light blue with white stripe and the other wire medium blue had to be connected together for the bike to work correctly.

On the last chopper I had a Dynatek ignition and I only needed two wires (red and brown) to make the bike work.
Now I have a new Dynatek ignition and it had one medium blue wire going to the ignition and the other wire( light blue with white stripe). which ultimately goes to the clutch switch relay to work properly.

I guess it is anti theft? Not sure.

Now it all works and the next step is a test ride. Very Happy!
It is 106 today so I will wait till morning.
I will report back to you all.

    Thanks Hillcat!

Nice bike! Have you considered the Three Two Choppers wishbone or hoop kits for the DNA?
I've got the same DNA springer and will do the upgrade one day. Looks much nicer.

I know, it's not in my budget either. Why am I doing advertising anyway? It's way cool.
Just got my bike inspected yesterday too. I think the guy in the local independent shop was happy to see something other than a Harley bagger (Triumph) and gave me the sticker even without a front fender or brake. He said it was because it was a "cool bike" and I was a local.

I had planned to take my black diamond build the the DMV tomorrow (August 16th) to get it registered but the trailer that I got for it would not work. When the bike was on the trailer and strapped down, it would lean left or right about 30 degrees!
The main rail was twisting because the metal was too thin and too many folding joints.
it twisted on the hitch ball too. It would be too dangerous to go on the road!!! Not kidding. The rating was for 750lbs.
and my bike is only about 500lbs. The trailer will have to be re constructed completely! Do NOT Buy ONE of these trailers!!

I have rescheduled the DMV registration for Sept. 10th.
I will have a new trailer.

    Very disappointing trailer!
The name was Ultra-Tow Single rail Folding motorcycle trailer 700lb. Capacity.

DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE TRAILERS!
I will also wrote a report to the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

    Thanks Emanator!

Tomorrow I am going to see about buying another trailer.
I will not buy a motorcycle trailer. I can buy a utility trailer for
half the price of the motorcycle trailers and use it for other things.
