sadly i did not take pictures of it but this is what i did , cut away the striped part , that way you can use all the threads and mounting holes for the starter , and the outer case is cut up just to look nice but you need it for the starter axle support bearing

i have a lever switch that controls a simple 12 volts relay and that relay controls a separate solenoid i had laying around , think a yamaha :-)something like this , but you can also leave your stock solenoid in place

Ok thank for the help. I just have one more question for you. where is your battery located with this set up? My bike has a horseshoe oil tank (which I don't like) and the battery sits inside that

I'm guessing that it's behind or in that chrome box on the right side of the bike behind the kicker pedal

no , that is a stupid big ass battery , that has got to go in the future , a lot smaller one also can do the job , i bolted the relay and the solenoid on the underside of the batterytray , gonna clean it all up in the future , will make a box for the electric , plan on fabricating a gastank with a seperate oiltank so the tank under the seat can be removed , electric box under the seat with the battery also inside , nice and clean , also will make a rear fender , a ducktail with some sort of an opening in it for my tail light , got an awsome one , e grimes airplanelight from a bomber plane :-) :-)

I don't see any FLH stuff on there. It has the correct front end, rear fender, primary, 19" front wheel, 3.5 gal tanks for a FX rather than the FL stuff. Most of them have been changed by now. My FXS doesnt look anything like it did originally: Click image for larger version

I subscribe to that outlook as well. I was just trying to say to tattoo that it did make sense it was an fxs lowrider originally.
