Pickled pigs feet is good, Damn good.... Pickled eggs are good.... And those pickled sausages, the red ones are also good.... Since my heart attach I can't eat none of that anymore.... DAMN it...........

There is a miss belief among many that surstromming should be eaten directly from the can, although nothing could be more wrong.
To start with, open the can outside with a plastic bag wrapped around it, or under water in a bucket.
Then the fish needs to be washed and gutted.

After that you can enjoy the fish wrapped in buttered tunnbröd, that is a sweetened flat bread or eating it from a plate.
For the best experience it should be served with freshly boiled sliced almond potatoes, diced onion, sour cream and fresh dill.

Surströmming tastes even better with beer and lots of friends.

You can get cheaper Surströmming for about half the price of the Mannerströms'
But it doesn't have the fish roe in it...
From what info I have attain about the roe.... It puts lead in your pencil ...
(Kinda like Rhinoceros Horn)

Lord knows, I could use some lead in my pencil ... !!!

So I asked Carl Edlund what he thought about eating Surströmming ...
He said " Fu*k Dat, I don't eat rotten food, never ever even tried it, and ain't about too!!"

OK, Alright ... Maybe I don't need lead in my pencil after-all ... !!!

Think I'll just get a T Shirt instead and call it close enough ...
