Hey can any one please tell me if the main motor and transmission drive shafts on an evo/5 speed are different to the twin cam 88 cube/5 speed. Trying Fi figure out if a BDL open belt primary off the evo will mount to the 88 TC. From what I can tell everything should be right except for the possibility of the engine and transmission shafts having different splines and or diameter shafts? I’ve got everything but an TC 88 5 speed sitting around to check if it will fit. Cheers for any help

I think this answers the engine spline part of your question:
From BDL FAQs: http://beltdrives.com/frequently-asked-questions
"As far as Shovelhead, EVO and Twin Cam motors are concerned, they all have the same motor mounting collar, hole pattern and engine shaft spline. The transmission dictates which unit (related to stock H-D model year application) you will need. So, the Shovelhead and 5-speed combination will need a primary drive that matched the model year of the transmission."
This may answer the transmission part of your question; as this Ultima unit fits 90'-06' EVO & Twin Cam Dyna:

and several of the BDL units fit: Fits 1990-2006 Softail
