Read an article where a guy was trying to make distance and drinking one of those energy drinks every other gas stop, he ended up bruising his tailbone and couldn't ride for several weeks.

You can always ride a several hundred mile trip beforehand on a weekend to test. Leave work on Friday, ride through Saturday, recover Sunday. You can see what if anything shakes loose (bring tools of course) and get your answer.

You'll learn how much speed you can maintain (or ingest, I don't judge!) for how long.

1000 miles would be a real bitch even with chemical help! Even if you manage to do it, my question is WHY? When I ride it's more about the ride than where I'm going. Most anything over 300 or 400 on a rigid changes from fun to punishment.

Driving that train, high on cocaine
Casey Jones you better, watch your speed
            Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind
