Slowly been chipping away at it. Matt and I usually stay for a while after work each day and get a little something done. I had to buy a helicoil kit for one of the carb bowl screws as it stripped out. I cut out an aluminum plate to go under the seat and we mounted all of the electrical components to it. On top are panel mount fuse holders and the R/R, ignition unit and starter solenoid are underneath. I think that when we left today the wires were all run and switches installed as well

I've got a shot of the underside as well but couldn't get it to upload. Too big apparently. It's coming along. Next I need to figure out where I want the coils to go.

Things are going move a bit slower. Roller derby is my other hobby and I broke my leg at practice last Sunday. I'll get back to working on the bike in a couple of weeks but it's gonna be a few months before I can put weight on my leg again.

No, it's my left leg but I broke both bones pretty good. I've seen that bike before, I think on Youtube. It looks good.

I've always wanted a hard tail bobber chopper. Last week I saw this hard tail frame on the local CL. Seller said he was selling it because the motor had locked up and he'd gone on to different things, it had a CB500 motor in it. I happen to have CB550 that I was working on making a cafe racer out of but the project is stalled and I've sort of lost interest

I had never heard or seen that before, that's just plain old fashion nutso.

Okay, I promise I'm still working on this thing. Slowly. My leg is all healed up and I'm getting some stuff done. I just got the front end sorted out. I started out intending just to replace the upper triple. The triple that came with the bike had the risers shaved off and the bike had clip on bars. Ended up buying a whole cx500 triple tree and some tapered bearings. Now all seems to be right in that respect and i can move on to other things.

Good to hear your still kickin'...or ready to start kickin' again. Guess that roller derby is more dangerous than motorcycles! Great that you're makin' some progress. Chop on!
