    Cheapskate Work Table

I needed to work on some projects and didn’t necessarily need a lift just a decent table. Found a recipe on the interweb and here’s how it came out..

Coated every surface with Minwax “Helmsman” wood preservative and then a few coats of clear on the work surface to protect against the inevitable oil grease and whatever else.

I used galvanized 6” eye hooks for tie down points, thru-bolted for strength. Bought a couple wheel chocks off Amazon.
The whole table is on (6) 4” locking casters and can roll around the shop as needed to make way for other junk.

Table is 8’ long 2’ wide and 23.75 tall and I bought enough materials to make 2

Put a basketball hoop on each end and your favorite teams sticker dead center.

Looks good. Just make sure you have at least two people when build is complete and taking it off table.
              Too obvious? Sorry.
Your O.R. looks nice and clean!

nice! what did you spend on material for both? I built one out of 1/4" angle and dimondplate , nice and sturdy but was almost $300 in material. I think ill go wood on the next one.

Thanks! Yeah definitely a two-man job getting it down. It’s nice to have some more space to work and I was sharing with my buddy but shit just got out of hand and I needed more room. Going to try to keep it clean but you know how that goes....

To build 2 tables, I’ve spent about $400 in materials, casters and wheel chocks included.
