There are lots of engines, especially from the clone chobber world with a mix of parts. That's why I suggest people contemplating an S&S engine verify the serial number with S&S to see how that engine or cases were sold before spending money.
yup and Know I know as S&S told me. including the piston to wall clearance,

Hey Spaceman, My heads are the same thing with the codes and markings on them, they are very nice heads and my rockers say flathead power on them and they are so nice looking.
shame I needed a new arm thats what happens when you dont shim correctly.
I allso have the S&S rocker arms in the Prom Queen" / stock knucklehead.
I had early arms in there 37's I believe sold them for more than the damn s&s with the shafts like insta gone

They was ordered with a few options as can be seen in the above photo... I can either go with outside oil returns or down the jug...
Just need to install plugs in the threaded holes that won't be used....

Basically they are Shovelheads using Shovel ports, valves and rocker arms....

Some nice engineering went down in order to use the Shovel arms ...
Oiling to the heads are like the Evo's with oil up the pushrods and into the special drilled and plugged rocker arms...
The rocker arms has a ratio of 1.5:1 instead of the Mo-Co's 1.43:1

Again they was ordered un-assembled ....
Setting them up with a L-5 Leineweber cam ...

Pretty cool. Did they stick with Harley’s way too big exhaust valve and port?

    Intake valve = 1.940"
    Exhaust = 1.750"

Ports are not same as H-D's ... S&S did their own thing in order to increase flow numbers...

Flow #'s are intake 219 cfm at 28" .600 lift
    ............... exhaust 179 .."..."..."......."......
At .500 lift around 213 cfm

Note the cooling channel between combustion chamber and rocker arms and late style valve chamber to eliminate oil pooling.

Fella that owns this motor is wanting to go bigger with sticking a Huge Cube Evo in the bike.
Says that it will be For Sale ... Just the Knuck motor... Said that it was one of the last motors that Flathead Power made before the move to the US.

no need to post pics, tomorrow going to my buds shop going to machine open the lower valve cover gaskets. to fit around the guides.
i bet i could get away with out even using them and just using sealer, they recommend this shit called the right stuff which i have.
got the same kit that i got originally. and if i want to use that kit i need to buy there later valve guides and lower cast covers, hell no aint happening.
guy said i needed 2 gasket kits, as 1 kit does one head this si what i was told and given the number for. so guy at shop tells me that the kits are 128 bucks each. i went postal, said i aint paying for this shit send it back, not my fucking fault these people cant get shit right.

So lisen to this, these kits come with 4 seals 4 gaskets for the tins 4 lower tin gaskets, nothing else, no rocker arm gaskets or line seals for the lower tins. 128 bucks fuck that shit.
owell, ill make my own shit.

I sure would like to see your valve guides and spring buckets ....
But it seems that you have a game plan in mind .... And don't have a need to listen to any Voices of Experience ...

Just gotta put on your sailing shoes ....
