No you're stuck with a Z1 or KZ1000. Just cut the old mounts off and put whet ever you want on it or get a KZ1000 for itComment

Like Steelhorse said; get a KZ (or Z-1) 900 or a KZ1000. Z-1 was 1973-'75, then KZ 900 for '76, then KZ 100 for '77.
There is one here in Toronto: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-street-cruis...ationFlag=true
I got a set of stock size 900 cylinders i don't need.
The 1000 had thicker cases and full circle crankshaft counterweights (900s had the porkchop design which revved quicker), but they had roller bearings and are a bullet-proof engine with straight--cut primary gears. I put the 900 crank in the 1000 cases and added a Wiseco 1105 kit in a Santee softai; frame. At Fairview College we built an old KZ 1000 into a 1385 with a monster block - only mod needed was to weld the crank pins to prevent any movement as the crank is press together(ran a 9.55 at 155 in the 1/4). Another guy in class had the Wiseco 1425 kit on his, ran a 9.011 at 149 in the quarter in Saskatoon.Last edited by TriNortchopz; 12-25-2017, 9:09 PM.If buildin' old school choppers was easy, anyone could do it... ain't nobody said it's gonna be easy...Comment
