suggest rat rod mag?

What magazine would you suggest that is like the horse for rat rods? You know, for the backstreet home builders?

there's a mag called Rebel Rodz for the rust loving person.

i prefer Rod and Custom for nice cars and trucks that aren't always gold chain mobiles. some sick model A's in that bitch.

cool man, thanks. I think the rebel rodz looks about right. What I really can't stand is all the ad's in magazines like american iron. My father-in-law reads that one and damn fucking ad's on every page.

Ol' Skool Rodz used to be put out by the same company as The Horse. I don't know for sure if it still is but it's a good one as well. Usually has a gasser or two and a few sleds but more ratty rods than anything.

Rod and Kulture mag is my favorite. Nice cars, bikes, pin ups, music, events. Cant go wrong.

Fuck rat rods. That's a made up term that some old man came up with for unfinished hotrods. And then some minitruck kids thought it sounded cool and built some major piles of crap trying to be part of the scene. Dont buy into corporate Americas idea of what a ratrod is. The end

i agree with you.

when i bought my '50 ford. that's how it came(red steelies not spokes). i wanted to choke slam the guy and combat stomp his grille as he lay on the deck stunned.

it was like, have a fucking original idea you god damn poser pile of tampon chunks!

but i didn't since i needed to Joo him down. thank god for a dirty fuel pump screen. the car wouldn't start for me.

RAT RODS = SHIT! Please dont try to build a Rat. That is the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to the hot rod culture. If you are gonna build one of those turds, please at least make it safe to go down the road.

Certain mags have jumped on the hot rod scene talkin about rat rods and stupid people keep buying into it,fuck em,more fool them,we need to educate these fools!!

Ol'Skool Rodz, is my answer for traditonal hot rods, and projects that are being run, agian FUCK the term rat rod.
If lead sleds, and cruisers are more your style then look into Car Kulture Deluxe.
Both are published by Geno DiPol thorugh Kool House Publishing,who if I'm not mistaken, helped to get The Horse Backstreet Chopper up and running, and was still involved intill somtime last year,when BSC started to be published through Charlie Horse LTD, Hammer took over as head editer and Geno started focusing more on OSR and CKD.

Wrong,that term was coined in an interview with The Shifters by Gray Baskerville who at the time worked for Hot Rod Magazine. It was used to describe an unfinished looking,stripped down built for speed hot rod,but over time has lost it's meaning.

I remember the term rat bikes in the 80s,for primer and shitty lookin bikes,one of the first guys to have and drive a primered hot rod was Robert Williams,that was in the 70s if memory serves!!

rolls and pleats is a good mag havent bought it in years.i have the first 23 issues.
