well Im finally making a little headway and hope to have this thing buttoned up by born free. I split the cases and spent some time with lacker and stripper and just about anything else I could find to get the 3 layers of paint and grime off of the cases oh ya I forgot to mention I have had my right hand in a cast for the past 6 weeks so caved in and found a local guy that dose commercial soda blasting, turnes out he is a harley guy and helped me out. they came out great! through the crank in the lathe between centers and was within the harley manual specs for run out according to my manual. was .0015 on both pinion and drive shaft and just under .002 on the fly wheels . so next step would be deciding if I want to replace left bearings? so need to look into that.
